Networks
Three carriers: Singtel, StarHub, and M1 (now merged into a combined network for some infrastructure). All three are excellent. International eSIM plans typically use Singtel, which has the largest network share and best overall quality.
eSIM vs local SIM
Local Tourist SIMs are available at Changi Airport's arrival halls, 7-Eleven stores throughout the island, and FairPrice Xtra supermarkets. They're cheap - about SGD $10-15 (£6-8) for a 100GB/week plan from Singtel or StarHub. Genuinely excellent value.
The eSIM advantage for Singapore is purely convenience: you're connected the moment you land without stopping at a kiosk. For a very short visit (1-2 days in transit), eSIM is clearly easier. For a week-long trip, the local SIM is such good value that it's worth the five minutes at the airport.

Grab works brilliantly here and is the go-to for private hire cars. Foodpanda and GrabFood for delivery if you're staying somewhere with a kitchen.
